I went to the Works last night and saw Nate, Morgan, Sim and Mike all play solo acoustic (except for Mike, that rebel!) sets. They were all really good and it was good to see some of the PNP dudes that are still around. Covers of the Clash, the Mountain Goats, Neutral Milk Hotel and probably some other bands were played. Alex and I talked about the state of the Warriors and I was saddened to hear that he had lost his iconic Marlboro Man hat. Dave broke his hand playing handball.

In other news, Halloween was pretty uneventful. I went to a party at the comic store, where the staff was dressed up as the cast of the Venture Brothers. My brother had a small party at the house and was dressed up as Han Solo. There are only a small handful of kids in our neighborhood, so there was a ton of leftover candy for me to eat the last couple weeks.

A minor detail that I forgot to mention about that dream about skating to class in 1980's Hawaii is that a very slow acoustic version of the Blue Hearts' "Boku no migite" was playing in the background, almost like background music for the opening credits of a tv show. Dreams are back with a vengeance! I still can't ollie! I'm thinking about joining the YMCA so I can swim laps in an indoor pool!
